About the researcher
My name is Phil Meek, and I am currently working on a research project as part of my Otago Polytech Master’s degree. The research project is derived from a skill shortage that my engineering business has experienced over the last ten years.
The Research
This continual decline in young people entering the engineering sector has promoted employers to want to understand this better
How it works
The research will be in two parts. Part one will be an online questionnaire to gauge an understanding of career perception and general questions about career influencers and vocational training perceptions.
